About Julie and New Reality Consulting
New Reality Consulting is led by me, Julie Wilson-Dodd, an experienced transformation consultant who works with third and public sector organisations to help them deliver greater impact. I’m passionate about improving lives through people-focused change programmes, technology and data enabled services, improved ways of working and insight-driven comms.
My professional experience over the past two decades has included strategy, change management, research, technology and service design work with over 50 charities (large and small), government departments, and major commercial companies including Tesco and Bupa. Alongside consulting work I am currently a trustee and passionate advocate for YoungMinds.
Before returning to consulting I was Director of transformation at Parkinson’s UK where I led the charity’s service transformation, technology, data and culture change work. I was also Director of comms at the charity for three years, and senior sponsor for the charity’s equality, diversity inclusion programme. Being a strong ally and helping to increase diversity and inclusiveness in the sector is very important to me.
Previously in my career I worked in senior management at an award-winning London agency, and spent 8 years as a service designer and Creative director at the BBC. I am also a trained qualitative researcher.
A few years ago I produced The New Reality, a report about the state of technology and change in the non-profit sector. More on that below.
I’m rarely happier than when I’m helping leaders and their teams to rethink and go bolder with their plans. Especially if it involves a great diagram!
The New Reality
The New Reality is a research study about how technology and new ways of working can deliver a step-change in impact.
The study is based on interviews with over 50 senior leaders and experts from both inside and outside the non-profit sector.
